Exuma Land and Sea Park

We are in the Exuma Land and Sea Park in Warderick Wells, Exuma. It is very beautiful here. The Bahamian Wildlife game warden's home and base is here as well as a station for the Bahamas Defense Force. We picked up a mooring for $15 a night. The park rules keep you from collecting anything. You can not fish, shell, spear or even take sand. You can not dispose of trash or anything else. There is no water, fuel or food available here. But you can get ice ($5 a bag) and internet ($10 a day).

Park headquarters and office.

Land crab, very tame.

There are many trails you can hike in the park and many mangrove patches.

Mangrove swamp.

This whale died as a result of ingesting too much plastic thrown overboard.

This is the real skeleton, no plaster casts.

Us at Barefoot Beach. (Beautiful women in these islands, hey!)

View of Barefoot Beach.

A type of land hermit crab.

Birds everywhere. These are at the feeders at the office.
