Carolyn and I have been working off and on Moondance for nearly 3 years now and are very close to cutting the dock lines. Our estimated departure date is early November of 2008. We will be sailing out of Palacios, Tx. and headed east along the coast toward Florida and hopping across the Gulf stream to Bimini before December. From there we plan to take our time and travel down island.
This site was created for family and friends to keep in touch with us and follow our progress but everyone is invited along.
Moondance is a 27 ft. Albin Vega sailboat built in Sweden in 1979. Several have circumnavigated the globe, but our plan is to start with a circumnavigation of the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. This is to be a 3 year cruise with no time schedules other than having Moondance in or near a safe habor during hurricane season.
